Could Sir Charles be a possibility for a GM?? he is a great guy and everyone knows him and he can be a great persuavive person because so many people have respect for him. plus, he was the best PF of his time, so he might give bosh a few pointers! i would love to have charles after what BabCOCK has done with this team. we have to rebuild now, that he has screwed this legit team over. He can be offensive and seems very stubborn, so I don't know if he will even take other people's advice. -He would be useful as a mentor to Bosh as a fellow PF, however I wouldn't want Bosh to look up to Barkley as a role-model, b/c Bosh is a nice guy who respects everyone and in some ways is an opposite of Barkley. -Barkley wasn't the best powerforward of his time Malone was better Barkley averaged 25 ppg 4 years in his career Malone averaged 25 ppg 12 years in his career Malone made the NBA all defense team 3 times, Barkley 0 Malone was League MVP 2, Barkely 1 Malone Eleven-time All-NBA First Team selection Barkley Five-time All-NBA First Team selection Malone played 193 playoff games to Barkleys 123 Malone put up better overall numbers and incredibly played 80 or more games for 17 of his 19 seasons. Barkely managed to play 79 games or more only 5 of 16 seasons. I saw the news at hoopshype.com and thought about it. I eventually said thought it would negatively affect Chris Bosh's character and I wouldn't want that to happen regardless of Barkley's positive affects on the franchise. If someone in the basketball world knew Barkley better they could make a better opinion on the subject. If he turned out to be a really nice un-stubborn guy when it comes to the business environment then we should do it. Because he is a persuasive guy and he does have contacts and a great knowledge of how to be a great PF in the NBA.
i'm sure that if barkley was an exec in the raptors organization he would be good for a while and then fall off when he's not having fun and then become a cancer to our team and CB4

No way. If you take Sir Charles away from being an NBA analiyst, you are commiting a crime. I'm not gonna lose the funniest man in the NBA just so the raps can get a new GM.

Charles Barkley brings it to a completely new level - down to hell. Let the guy talk **** about players and poke fun on TNT. Let's not let him mess up the Raptors franchise with his racist comments and what not. He's probably gonna say something like "oh Matt Bonner is white so he's gotta go."
I remember a couple months ago on TNT when asked if he ever wanted to manage, coach, etc. for a team, he said something like he doesn`t want to take care of babies. So I find him taking the role of Toronto`s GM doubtful. Even if he was, I think he would be like a Mark Cuban kind of guy, trying to create some kind of dream team.
I love Barkley, and he was a great player but I don't think he would be the best choice for this position. I don't believe he is one of the smartest guys knowledgewise, and he gets away with being on TNT becaus he is too funny. PLus he said, "Steve if you couldn't shoot threes you would have no purpose in this world!"
