This is a very good question, as both are one of four players to have recorded 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 4,000 assists. The other two in that category are Kareem and Wilt the Stilt. Pretty good company to be sharing something like that. Both are great players in NBA history, and will forver be known.Onto the question though, if I could choose either of the two, I am taking Barkley. No disrespect to Karl Malone who in my eyes was a great player and forward, I just like Barkley better. At about 6'6 he was determined every time he went onto the court, usually the most determined and tenacious on the court. His hustle and attitude wore off on his teams, just look at how winning followed him everywhere. He was winning in Philidelphia, he was winning in Phoenix. He is a better rebounder than Karl Malone, as well as being a tough defensive player like Karl Malone was. He would be my choice as to the one I would rather have, but you really couldn't go wrong with either.

I think Barkley was probably a little bit better, but his partying and helping the Suns blow series', especially that one against Houston, puts him a little farther down in my book. I'll take the Mailman for my team.

Ima take Chuck. Karl Malone was a great scorer, but Barkley wasnt far behind him. Plus his great rebounding puts him ahead for me. Barkley could jump higher, he was tougher. Both were great defenders, but Chuck could throw some sick blocks

Barkley was the more valuable player in his prime. I would rather have him on my team.
