Nothing ground breaking, and I'm sure people are going to take it as Barkley slam dunks on the liberal media (completely missing his point) but I thought it was worth sharing. "I truly believe in my heart that most white people and Black people are awesome people. But we're so stupid following our politicians, whether they are Republicans or Democrats," he continued. "And their only job is, 'Hey, let's make these people not like each other. We don't live in their neighborhoods. We all got money. Let's make the whites and Blacks not like each other. Let's make rich people and poor people not like each other. Let's scramble the middle class.' I truly believe that in my heart."
How could that be taken as slamming on the liberal media? He's stating a fact. Governments, those in power (etc), have always pitted people against other people. The Brits did it in India, to pit Indians vs Muslims, so they (the Indians and Muslims) could do their (the Brits) dirty work. If you get them mad at each other, think of all the shit we could get away with! It's no different now. Yeah, there are differences, but if people got to know people, they'd see those difference are minor compared to their similarities.
It's been passed around right wing social media with those types of titles. I think even FOX did a bit on it this morning. Again, completely missing the point in a way that's almost satire.
