NBA.com announce that Charlotte Bocats waives Brevin Knight.

I never watch one of his games, but his numbers are great. His first two season he averages 9 assist per game.

Last years he earns 1,5 millions, so he is very cheap.

    Whats your opinnion of this?

    Pablo

    Sorry for the english, bye!

He has no range, and he is a bit small for the postion. I don't think he'd fit well in the Lakers system.

Jesus, you guys are freaking impossible to satisfy. Too small? Too bad he's easily one of the quickest PG's in the league, and easily the quickest PG the Lakers could have in a long, long while. He could easily stay in front of Parker, Paul, and Nash. He's easily better than Farmar, Crittenton, and freaking Yue. No, let's not upgrade at all! Why? We've got Sasha!

Un-flippin-believable, we've got a chance to upgrade one of the and we pass. Oh, did I mention he's a damn veteran, something we need?

So I take it you don't want him? [IMG]

I agree, he would make everyone's jobs much easier with his ability to put the ball into players hands in the best possible situations, which would improve your team dramatically, IMO.

Do we need him shooting threes, no I think we saw Smush brick enough of those these past two seasons. Do we need him running our offense? YES! Can J Farm and Critt learn from him? YES! Knight's game management is what we want, is what we need. His mid-range game is sufficient in a lineup that would have Kobe, Walton, and Odom all being scoring options ahead of him.

I just don't understand after two years of Sasha, Smush, Shammond, Tierre Brown, and who ever else we had, we've got a shot, granted just as much as any other team out there, to sign a damn good PG who can run an offense and is a true playmaker and some Laker fans are complaining he's too small and can't shoot. Oh, the irony...

Offer him the vet. minimum, hopefully he bites. That gives us the MLE to make a run at a C...Oberto, Maagloire, Ely...just for the sake of hoping, let's say we get Oberto.

PG: Brevin Knight, Javaris Crittenton, Jordan Farmar
    SG: Kobe Bryant, Sasha Vujacic
SF: Luke Walton (if he's re-signed), Maurice Evans
PF: Lamar Odom, Ronnie Turiaf, Brian Cook
    C: Andrew Bynum, Oberto, Mihm

I'd be ok with that lineup, I think adding Knight would help this team a lot.

Now, if the Lakers do give in and give up Odom, Bynum for Jermaine.

PG: Brevin Knight, Javaris Crittenton, Jordan Farmar
    SG: Kobe Bryant, Sasha Vujacic
SF: Luke Walton (if he's re-signed), Maurice Evans
PF: Jermaine O'neal, Ronnie Turiaf, Brian Cook
    C: Oberto, Mihm

I like that lineup, as well.

Mamba relax on the caffeine at work bro. You're going to pop a head vain soon.

Brevin Knight would be a nice stop-gap solution at PG for the Lakers. It would be beneficial to have a veteran in the locker room who can help develop our young guards.

He's not the traditional Triangle PG, but he makes the right decisions with the basketball and knows his limitations.

Brevin Knight is a good backup to whoever the backup point guard is. Will be worth the vets minimum.

My reasoning behind saying no to Knight is not because he's a bad player, but because if we're talking about the whole of the FA, there is much more players suited to run our offense imo. I don't feel he'd run it as smoothly as someone like Steve Blake could, for example.

Would I take him regardless? Hell yeah. I would just prefer someone who I feel is more suited for the triangle.

Plus, my Orlando Magic bias wants him to sign there. [IMG]

I'm definitely ok with Brevin Knight. He may not be a scorer, but we don't need one. He can however, run an offense very effectively and does know his limits. He's definitely an upgrade over Smush and will help Crittenton and Farmar out a lot. Plus, he's the veteran type player that this team lacks. I say go for it.

They really don't need ANOTHER PG. Brevin Knight will suit fine with LA because he's a pass 1st PG unlike Smush and is actually good and a good defender.
