Atlanta Journal Constitution For the second consecutive season, the Hawks will have to develop their team chemistry on the fly, using the month-long training camp and preseason to come together. Sure, Al Harrington, Tyronn Lue, Josh Childress, Josh Smith and Jason Collier --- all starters at one time last season --- return. But with Joe Johnson, Zaza Pachulia, Marvin Williams, Salim Stoudamire, Esteban Batista and John Edwards all expected to play key roles this season, the Hawks will need time to adjust. "I feel a little bit better because everything isn't brand new," Hawks coach Mike Woodson said. "Last year, the coaching staff and the team were all coming in here at basically the same time. This year, we've got guys who know what we want and how we like to do things." Still, the on-court action should be interesting as two-a-day practices begin this morning. "I don't know that any of us know what's coming," Smith said. "These first few practices are going to help us figure out what strengths and weaknesses we have. When we get into the preseason games, we should have a good understanding of what everybody does, and chemistry will be what it needs to be when the regular season starts." Source
It wont be too bad considering that 3/5 of the starting lineup is still here in the Josh's and Al. JJ wont take to long to learn if he's actually as eager as the articles you posted say he is, and Pachulia should pic up quick and if he doesnt we still have Collier who's a decent player.
