Chicago celebrates Blackhawks' title

    President Obama called Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane on Friday, just as the team prepared to take a photo with the Stanley Cup at the United Center.

    The team photo had to wait a moment as Obama congratulated the Stanley Cup champs, who were preparing for a ticker tape parade and rally.

    Fans were gearing up for the parade, snapping up championship T-shirts, flags, pins and hats as the city prepared for an onslaught of happy supporters expected downtown to greet the triumphant team.

    Chicago resident Don McCauley said even an afternoon game between the city's baseball rivals, the White Sox and the Cubs, at Wrigley Field couldn't keep him away from the celebration.
