QUOTE

New York Daily News - Chicago didn't exactly impress Luol Deng with its first offer for a new deal. The Bulls' five-year, $50 million offer is about $20 million shy of what several other teams feel Deng is worth.

Source

That does seem a bit low, when comparing him to other players. But I think it's a fair price.
I've said it before, I'll say it again...this overpaying of NBA players has got to stop.

Agreed. who are they to only give him 10 million dollars a year? Gosh, how is he going to feed his family?

The Bulls imo are really really smart! they are thrying to get an all star at the cheapest price they can... Deng already voiced out that he isnt concerned too critically on how much he would get... 10 M a year isnt bad anyway... and if you think about it, that 2M that the bulls saved could be useful in signing another player... they got Hinrich @ (8M), and Deng @ (10M) = really really good deals AND smart moves for the bulls... They were able to lock 2 future all stars at merely above average contract offers. nice!
