For arguement sake, we will take the last championship team from each, so the 97-98 Bulls, 01-02 Lakers, 02-03 Pistons and 04-05 Spurs. I might be partial, but I do not think any team could beat the Bulls consistently. All the games would be great, but I think Jordan would not have lost a game to these teams. Its a great conversation, but it ends when you realize that the Bulls won six out of eight titles, while neither the Lakers, Pistons or Spurs won more than three.
The 1998 Bulls...but I would love to see those Bulls play the 2001 Lakers. That would be a sick series. Those Lakers went 15-1 in the playoffs that year, but had a 56-win season. The 1998 Bulls won over 60 games (can't remember off the top of my head) but almost lost to the Pacers in the ECF's...won the series 4-3.Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Phil vs. Kobe, Shaq, and Phil...I would give anything to have tickets for that series.EDIT: I know we were talking about the 2002 Lakers, though...so don't worry.
I'd take the 97-98 Bulls. That team was old and slow, yet played incredibly smart basketball and reall used what they had. They played great defence, and Michael Jordan played great. Unfortunately, Scottie Pippen was having back trouble that year, which hurts, but Michael was willing his team like never before, and I don't think either the Lakers or Spurs would have anyone to stop him. Bruce Bowen could slow him down, Rick Fox could annoy Michael, but they couldn't stop him. Then Dennis Rodman could guard Tim Duncan, Longley and Rodman could get Shaq... Basically, I take the Bulls
