The Minnesota Vikings, who essentially played with no fullback on the roster under Mike Tice, have added one of the NFL's best players at the position for the West Coast-style attack that first-year head coach Brad Childress will install for this season.Two-time Pro Bowl performer Tony Richardson, an 11-year veteran who had played his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs, on Tuesday reached agreement in principle on a two-year contract, ESPN.com has learned. The deal will pay Richardson about $2.5 million. Wow. Expect to see the run game a lot in Minnesota without Daunte.
Damn thats a very good signing for them, this team could very well be going an entirely different direction. Wow, i thought he would be staying in KC
This sign will help the Vikings run game and pass protection a lot. Richardson was great for KC, even though he was getting up there in age.
KC is loaded with FB's and RB's and TE's so they won't miss him much. But Richardson is incredible. He will help the Vikings get about 300 more rushing yards.
Now it would be pretty damn hard to not run for well over 1k yards if your a feture back in minnesota. 2 pro-bowl linemen. A top 5 tackle in McKiney and one of the better fullbacks as well. Wow.
Seems like a pretty good bargain for the vikings. They are gonna be able to REALLY run the ball well.
Run Left! Imagine chester taylor with Richardson lead blocking and Mckinnie, Hutchinson and Birk in front of him. That is a pretty sick running game.. Now work on the right side of the line.
