The Chiefs are now 13-4 (.765) in home openers dating back to Carl Peterson?s arrival in Kansas City in ?89. Dating back to ?94, the Chiefs are now 22-5 (.815) against head coaches making their regular season debuts at Arrowhead. KC is now 71-7 (.910) at Arrowhead dating back to ?88 when scoring 21 points or more.Defensive Scoring Stats: The Chiefs shut out the Jets 20-0 after three quarters, marking KC?s first shutout after three quarters since holding a 10-0 lead at Oakland (10/20/03). It also marked his sixth consecutive game with two or more total TDs (rushing & receiving). He tied a career high with two rushing TDs, marking the fourth time in his career he has accomplished that feat. He scored on TD runs of 35 and four yards, the 11th and 12th rushing TDs of his career. His 35-yard TD was also the third-longest run of his career. Johnson also extended his streak of games with a rushing TD to seven consecutive games, the second-longest string in KC history. RB Priest Holmes owns the record with 11 consecutive straight games with a rushing TD.Johnson became the first RB to score two rushing TDs in a game against the Jets since Colts RB Edgerrin James had three TDs in a 38-31 win vs. NYJ (11/16/03). Johnson?s two-TD day snapped the Jets streak of 22 consecutive games without permitting an opposing RB to score two or more rushing TDs, which was the second-longest active streak in the NFL behind only Jacksonville (25 games) entering Sunday?s game.Holmes? Day: RB Priest Holmes? 35-yard run in the first quarter was his longest run in a regular season game since having a 56-yard run at Denver (12/15/02). WR Eddie Kennison extended his receiving streak to 52 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in team history.Sack Stats: S Sammy Knight registered his sixth career sack (-8.0 yards) and his 11th career forced fumble in the first quarter. DE Jared Allen registered his 10th career sack (-6.0 yards) and his first career forced fumble in the first quarter. LB Derrick Johnson registered his first career sack (-4.0 yards) in the second quarter and forced his first career fumble on the play.The Turnover Table: KC is now 38-4 (.905) at Arrowhead with a positive takeaway margin in regular season play dating back to ?95.
