<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Over his last four games entering Friday, Hawks rookie guard Josh Childress has averaged 16.0 points per game and 6.5 rebounds. He also has shot above 50 percent in each of those games, going at a blistering 58.3 percent (21 of 36). For the season, Childress is averaging just 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He is the team's leader in field goal percentage (46.2) this season. Tonight he will face his college coach, Mike Montgomery, who left Stanford after last season to take the job at Golden State.</div> Source
Childress had another few impressive games since this article, including the game against the Warriors with a double-double. What's most impressive is his rebound totals, which have come mostly from the wing positions. But, this might also be another sign that the Hawks need a strong center to grab rebounds and let the wings get out into the open court more often.
the thing i noticed about Childress' performance is that, wenever he plays gud,his team losses and vice-versa...
Well, the incidents of the Hawks losing are unfortunately, quite often as the team with the worst record in the league. So, I don't think Childress playing well is linked directly to the Hawks losing at all. It might be that other players are not playing as well, though, and Childress is the only one stepping it up in those games.
