<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>China will face its second straight gold medal contender early Tuesday morning in Beijing when they go up against Spain. For Yao Ming, and particularly Yi Jianlian, it will be a chance to redeem themselves after yesterday’s blowout loss to Team USA. Spain features three NBA-quality big men: the Lakers’ Pau Gasol, his brother Marc of the Grizzlies and Jorge Garbajosa who spent the last years in Toronto. The game will air on MSNBC at 4:45 a.m. EDT.</div>

I almost feel bad for the kid. He has to go against 2 great basketball teams one right after the other.

First, the likes of Dwight, Bosh, Melo, Lebron...then, the likes of Gasol, Gasol, Garbajosa...that's tough.

I hope he does well - good luck to Yi

im just real glad to see how china is embracing basketball, regardless of how they do in the olympics. Ive been worried about the supposed declining popularity of the NBA in America. But the fact that it is becoming such a popular sport around the world, and especially in a country with over 4 billion people, makes me extremely excited as a basketball fan. Maybe one day basketball could even be as wildly anticipated as say the world cup. Ha... I can dream right??
