With T-mac & Yao combination, Rox offers really a enormous attraction to those stars who's eager for a title. And so far JKidd looks like a good options for Rox to take to enhance the assistance. The prob is however, even if JKidd would like choose a early buyout of his contract himself, it's still a tough way for him to Houston. For one thing, to sign a star like him must make comparative sacrifice at what Rox can offer Yao;and for the other thing, his age can't be muddled by how good a player he used to be: it's a question whether or not Jkidd is so constructive and revolutional to Rox's reviving that we're desperately after him @ every cost. And... who shall and can we trade away to NJ Nets for him? On SG post, some another old superstar seems fits Rox better, and his name is Gary Payton. Experienced, sophisticated as he always be, he's more like to establish a turn on the course of depression when no one else can find the hole due to his leadship. But one more thing that makes him better for this position is his performance-against-cost is far higher than Jkidd. On the post of PF, Juwan is on top of every arguments: an outstanding allstar player turned out to be a representative of High-salary-and-low-capacity. At present, Rox's spendin 7m$/yr and in return, he handed in a just-so-so stats: under a very limited time on court, he maintained 9.6ppg & grabbing 5.7 rpg. But you can never make any connection between a stats like that with a lineup PF of a championship contender. His plain offensive ability and awkward defensive behavior make the transaction difficult. And the contract expired by '09 and his injury report make it even harder. Damon Stoudamire is going to be free agent this summer. Note that he's 32 and definitely asking for a big contract. But they're ok with Rox who's eager for enhancement on PF position. There's an ample chance for him to join Rox. And we should also take Donyell Marshall frTORONTO Raptors who's good at shootin and preventing the opponents from shooting, Reggie Evans fr Seattle Supersonix who can grab more rebounds and Stromile Swift fr Memphis Grizzlies who's somwhat dominant on low post into consideration. Comparatively, Swift may be better for his price, and better for Yao. He's young and motive, but Memphis has to count on Gasol if it lets Swift go. Odd that we can get him is dim. Recently NJ Nets is brewing a large transaction with Grizzlies concerning with VC, Gasol and a bunch of other players so we still have chance. Hey, don't forget our 24th draft in the 1st round next season, and there may be two rookies with great potential we can pick to fill our two positions. Apart from that, there're two rookies that we picked two years ago and now are playing in EURO to be inspected. *Source from Titan Sports. All rights reserved. JBB Houston Rockets' exclusive.
I'm anxious to see this guy Vasilis Spanoulis that we drafted this season, but has been playing in the Euro league. I've read a few things about him and it sounds like he's a pretty good PG. Nbadraft.net compared him to steve nash. But I guess only time will tell. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see the rockets pick up Van Exel.

He's been shooting the lights out in the Euro league and has definitely been making a lot of noise but I haven't heard much about him being a playmaker (which is what we need at point).
Do you guys know anything about Kyle Hill and Venson Hamilton? They are never mentioned so do rockets plan to do anything with them? It would be good to get badiane or Spanoulis over the summer. You cant say much about what we will do till after the draft. We really need to address the 2 and 4 though. It looks like the best fit in the draft is simien and he will probably even fall to us. In that case we can just get mobley or something and we will be title ready.
I'm not holding too much hope for Spanoulis and Badiane to be able to come right in and become key players. Both have potential but I won't think they'll be rotation players yet if they come in next season. The best possible option for us would be to look at the draft, or find someone who'll sign for cheap in exchange for wins. Holding out hope on past second round draft choices won't be a foolproof idea.
