"Consider this a reminder for what most certainly will follow, those nights when Chris Bosh is quietly filling the box score for the Miami Heat and then deferring to LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the postgame podium.

Of course, if Bosh wanted to stand alone, he could have remained in Toronto, where his numbers were bountiful but his success was limited over the past seven seasons.

But in case anyone doubted the singular skills, Bosh offered a reminder in the third quarter of Wednesday's 90-76 exhibition loss to the New Orleans Hornets.

With James, Wade and numerous other teammates sidelined, Bosh showed that he is no supporting player, even if that is a role the All-Star power forward likely will have to assume this season.

With the Heat down 45-29 at halftime, Bosh put together the best quarter by any Heat player this preseason, James and Wade included.

Shooting 7 of 8 from the field and 6 of 6 from the line in the third period, Bosh rallied the Heat to a 65-64 lead entering the fourth."
