<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Titans' Brown wants tradeRunning back faces stiff competition in training campPosted: Friday July 21, 2006 4:09PM; Updated: Friday July 21, 2006 4:30PMNASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Chris Brown's agent has asked the Tennessee Titans to trade his client, apparently unhappy with the team's crowded backfield despite being the starter the past two years and at the top of the depth chart for this season."We've officially requested a trade for Chris," agent Wynn Silberman told The Tennessean on Friday. "At this point, we're waiting on a response."Silberman couldn't be reached by telephone and did not immediately return e-mail messages from The Associated Press. The Titans declined to comment on the report. The Titans have plenty of running backs to choose from this season after drafting LenDale White out of Southern California in the second round and with Travis Henry going into his second season after being picked up in a trade last year just before training camp.Brown still is listed as the starter for the Titans after running for 851 yards in 15 games in 2005, well ahead of the 335 yards rushing by Henry who was suspended for four games. He ran for 1,067 yards, a 4.9-yard average, in 11 games as a starter in 2004. He put on some extra muscle this offseason to help his endurance. But this is the final year of Brown's contract, and he is scheduled for $1.57 million. He changed agents earlier this year, switching from Bralyn Bennett to Silberman."We're kind of looking at the situation down there and we're not sure he's a great fit at this point," Silberman said."We feel he's a featured back with Pro Bowl potential and the opportunity may be better for him somewhere else in the league."Copyright 2006 Associated Press. I doubt this means he'll end up going anywhere. Volek demanded a trade last year, now look at him. Not to mention his trade value is pathetic right now after what he did last season, and he still hasn't proven that he can stay healthy. I wouldn't be pissed off if he's gone, I mean, if he doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him here. LW is the long-term answer at that position anyway.
I agree, I don't think Brown is a elite running back. At the most I bet the Titans could get a 4th round pick.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Titans | Reese may not want to trade C. BrownFri, 21 Jul 2006 21:49:03 -0700The Nashville City Paper reports Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese has yet to respond to Titans RB Chris Brown's trade demands and he might be reluctant to part with the running back who is entering the final year of his rookie contract. "We have had some talks with Floyd about a trade, and Floyd indicated that he values Chris, and was not necessarily inclined to deal him, but we decided it was best to make the formal request anyway," said agent Ryan Morgan, who represents Brown along with Wynn Silberman. Morgan said Reese has not yet responded to his formal request for a trade made four days ago. "We have not heard a response from the Titans, regarding our request. Nothing has materialized there as of yet," Morgan said. As for Brown, the decision lies with Reese and the front office as to whether they field offers for the running back. "Obviously, Chris is under contract with the Titans for this season, so the Titans would have to entertain any offers for him," Morgan said. "If they are unable to find something satisfactory, then they could give us permission to explore a trade opportunity for Chris."</div>

The Broncos would be a great fit for him, Texans too since they got Kubiak. Colts would work well for him, but I don't see our guys trading him to a division rival.
I guess he wants out cuz he KNOWS next year LW is going to be the starter, why not find somewhere else to go for this season where he can actually have a deep future. Like you said, the Colts should try and pick him up, though they are in your division, that sort of thing does happen, a lot within the NFC East, or at least our division rivals go after released or FA players from within the division. I think the Eagles should go after him, he's a much bigger back than Westbrook and he could help a lot on 3rd down and for running up the middle. I'd say his trade value is a 4th rounder.
Yeah, that's true about LW. He's gonna be killer, our next generation Eddie George. But Brown is horrible up the middle, if that's what Philly needs, they'd need to keep moving.
I say the Broncos send a 4th or 5th round pick for him, since it's his contract year and he has an injury history I feel that's his value. Then Denver signs him to a 4 year deal. Then Denver makes him a star, getting him 1400 yards rushing. Then Denver trades him for a 2nd round pick to the Giants when Tiki retires after this year.

"Denver would be a good fit for Chris," Ryan Morgan, one of his agents, said. "We all know how well Denver runs the ball, and we think Chris, with his style, could have a big year there." There has been speculation that a Chris Brown-for-Ashley Lelie deal could work, but the Titans are strong at receiver.</div>http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nflHe really isn't worth what Lelie is worth so if they want that trade to go down, they are going to have to throw in a couple draft picks or a high pick for him as well. Titans with Lelie, that would end up being a great target for Young in the future and I can actually see him being the #1 guy at WR there.
I don't think Lelie would fit in well on a Jeff Fisher squad. And I don't think Lelie is worth any more than what Brown is. He's averaged 40 receptions, 750 yards, & 3 TDs a year so far, not exactly spectacular.Of course CB wants to go to Denver, though, every RB does. IMO, trading Brown for Lelie wouldn't help anybody, just trading problems is all it would be.
I heard on ESPN the day they reported he wanted a trade that St. Louis was interested in him and some other RB (don't remember who) and they would pursue him if Faulk retired. He's a good enough #2 for me .

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Titans | Fisher says Brown is starting RBWed, 26 Jul 2006 14:32:29 -0700Craig Tapper, of TitansOnline.com, reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said RB Chris Brown is the team's starting running back and that he believes Brown's trade request may stem from a switch of agents. "I have not spoken with Chris," said Fisher. "That does not surprise me and that should be an indication of where Chris is (in this process). I could understand Chris wanting an extension. Chris wants to be here. So, him asking for a trade does not imply that he doesn't want to be here. Chris changed agents and new agents came in and they had a sit-down meeting and they want to talk extension. Right now is not necessarily the time to talk extension because we're busy with other contracts. They took it upon themselves to demand a trade and went public with it, so to me, I'm going to throw this in the agents' laps and not Chris'."</div>
