Richard Hamilton (22.9 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.7 apg): Although he hasn't maintained his league-best 3-point proficiency (down to 31.5 percent), he has improved his overall game. His scoring efficiency is up, he's getting to the basket more and he has made himself a pesky defender. If he's not on the All-Star team, shame on the game.

Chauncey Billups (18.1 ppg, 8.0 apg): Are there any more questions about who's this team's MVP? The Pistons went 3-5 in his absence and the offense grounded to a halt. His ability to manage, read and control the tenor of a game and the temperament of his team, to say nothing of his ability to make plays for himself and his teammates, are invaluable.

Chris Webber (9.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg): He might not be the dominant force he once was, but the early read is he is exactly what the Pistons needed -- he allows them to run a segment of their offense through the post. Reports of his defensive limitations were slightly exaggerated. What he lacks in speed and mobility he makes up for in smarts, length and his quick hands.

Tayshaun Prince (15.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.1 apg): There was an early stretch when he played at an all-pro level. He tapered off a bit, but still is on pace to have a career season. He, perhaps more than the other starters, must make some sacrifices with the addition of Webber. But Prince is intelligent enough on the court to find ways to contribute.

Rasheed Wallace (11.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg): His 41.6 shooting percentage easily is a career low, and his scoring average is the lowest since his rookie season. The pain in his right ankle continues to flare regularly, hampering his shot and mobility. But, over the past week, he has shown signs of coming out of his slump and energy crisis.</div>
