Chris Mullin's hard journey to the basketball Hall of Fame A really nice read. I totally recommend it, even if you know the whole story already. There's a little more stuff there too about his relationship with Don Nelson nowadays. You can imagine that it's not as close anymore, but it's not all bad. And there's a little bit about him wanting to be a GM again, but it doesn't look as if that's all he'd be willing to accept in order to stick around with the franchise.
Thanks for posting that. I'm going to give it a read a little later. Mullin was my first "favorite player." Started watching in the Run TMC days when I was super little, and had a framed Mullin autograph on my wall throughout my childhood. I'm happy he's getting the recognition he deserves. As far as him coming back to the team, I'm all for it. He made some stupid financial decisions when he started with us, but he seemed to truly learn from his mistakes and improve. In the end, it was a shame how the organization did him. Anyway congrats to Mully.
Chris deserved it and I hope Mitch gets in next. Check out Run TMC!
Well, guys, he might end up being a Blazer: http://hoopshype.com/archive/rumors/2011/rumors-20110904.htm#gR0-r1AD3
Word is, Mullin's number will be retired on Jan. 20, should there actually be a game that day. I hope there is. Should be a great celebration.
I saw some really cool games with run TMC playing on the nba classics channel. I really wished they kept Mitch Richmond.
