<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Paul has always loved calling North Carolina home. He's hoping to continue doing so. "I was in Winston-Salem for 20 years," Paul said. "It wouldn't hurt to be in North Carolina a little bit longer. "I wouldn't mind playing in Charlotte, I can tell you that." With that possibility in mind, Paul, the All-America point guard who left Wake Forest after his sophomore season, worked out yesterday for the Charlotte Bobcats. He completed a strenuous session that lasted about an hour with guard Toney Douglas from Auburn. Afterward Bernie Bickerstaff, the Bobcats' coach and general manager, declined to tip his hand. The Bobcats have the fifth pick in the NBA Draft, scheduled June 28, but they might trade for the third pick now held by the Portland Trail Blazers. The Milwaukee Bucks have the No. 1 pick, followed by the Atlanta Hawks, Portland, the New Orleans Hornets and the Bobcats. "He has the basketball intelligence," Bickerstaff said of Paul. "He can shoot the ball. He's got good quickness. "I certainly don't want to go overboard, or do anything to (not) enhance our situation." Bickerstaff said that the Bobcats are interested in drafting a point guard. "I think that's a need, a young point guard," he said. "But he has to be the real deal. I don't know whether any of these guys are the real deal."</div> Source
