"I didn't really know what to expect when I got here, but I didn't expect this," Christie told The Sacramento Bee after the Magic beat the Kings 114-111. "I don't even know what to say. Disappointed is an understatement." Davis reiterated that he considers Christie a vital member of the team but said, "Nobody is guaranteed playing time. I always base my decisions on what is in the best interest of the team." The Magic's offense has perked up since the switch, although the club has lost two of the three games. Francis arguably turned in his best all-around effort of the season against Sacramento, getting teammates involved. He had 29 points and 10 assists. Nelson was solid again, scoring 19 points and handing out six assists. In his first three pro starts, he has averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 assists. Davis said Nelson and Francis were playing so well together against the Kings that he stayed with the duo. Nelson played a career-high 40 minutes, while Francis logged 38. The starters played heavy minutes as the Magic were looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Sixth man Hedo Turkoglu got in for just 12 minutes.</div> Source
I think its a positive change for the magic, but destined to annoy DC. What it does make me thing however, is that a DC for CMob trade is looming for the summer, or something of the sorts. I think cat would like to be back in Orlando, mainly, if only because of stevie. With Cat off the bench instead it would mean a more contained and controlled combination, but that might just be wishful thinking.
