What did you guys get for your loved ones?

My wife has been wanting one of those fitbit wristbands to monitor her steps and her sleeping patterns, so I got one for her.

She has also been bugging me to stop by our alma mater to pick up her diploma, so today I scooped it up and I'm going to frame it as a surprise.

I got my mom a cheapy Mp3 player and I'm going to load up all of the Art Bell episodes from his newest show. She didn't really get to listen to them, so now she can.

    How about you?

Dude.... Bieber is the biggest piece of crap. Nobody should be supporting that tool. Nobody.

Demi Lovato /Nick Jonas is whatever... I don't really care either way. I took my girl to see Katy Perry at the Crystal Ballroom when she was just getting popular, so I know what it's like, but the Biebs..... no. Just no.

Yeah I think lovato is actually talented and a hottie. So no problem going to that one.

And yes I feel ashamed just buying the tickets, but she likes his music.

Gives me some brownie points for all the Sundays I watch football so we are even

My wife said she wanted a small ring and a messenger bag. Got the wife a pricy messenger bag from Timbuk2 and a fairly demure ring. Very concerned that she won't like either! I will get the "why did you spend so much on a messenger bag and get me this crappy ring"?

My parents and sister get mad if I get them anything. They are getting a little basket of goodies -- some homemade canned stuff, and some wine with personal labels on it.

Still shopping for Mrs. HCP. Thinking something kinky.

I actually was hoping my wife wanted to see Ellie Goulding because I have a serious thing for English chicks. It's the accent, what can I say?

As a general gift to several friends/family I have been giving out two wines that I made. An off-dry Riesling and a bone dry Provencal style Grenache rosé. The Riesling is good, but I'm really proud of the rosé. First time in ages I've given away something I made. I have some reds too, but those won't be ready for a couple years. I'll give them away in 2017 or 18.

Giving away some bigger gifts too, but none that I enjoy sharing as much as the wine. IMG_2337.JPG

Shoulda gave her the fitbit thing and made her walknto get the diploma.

I bought the wife a new car a couple of months ago and we're going to Puerto Vallarta the first week of January. So as a fill in I bought her an old coffee table and refinished it in black lacquer. Here's a crappy pic. I don't have a before but it was old brown walnut or something. 20151220_171706.jpg 20151220_171706.jpg
