Hopefully we get to see some Atkins action tonight against the Heat. I'm not extremely familiar with his history, but I have caught a few glimpses of him from his play on the Magic, Pistons, and Lakers over the years, and from what I've seen, he's a poor man's Damon Stoudamire. A shot-happy, poor defending undersized point guard. I hope I'm wrong though...
I'm very disappointed with the move but have full faith in Jerry and am willing to give Chucky a chance. I hope he proves me wrong.

I'm watching the end of this Memphis game. They've been killing the TWolves, but just wanted to comment on Chucky. He comes in the game shoots a three and makes it. Next play down Hudson blows right by him, but got capped on the layup. Then Chucky dribbles and dribbles and dribbles and then shoots and bricks. After that Fratello called a timeout. LOL. By the way what's up with Eddie Jones, he went skying for a nasty dunk on McCants. I love Steady Eddie's game.
I usually can see good in any player in a Grizzlies jersey (hell, i even love Big Jake) but i absolutely despise Chucky Atkins based on what i've seen this week. The guy puts up stupid shots, he doesn't fit with the offence and he doesn't play for the team. Given our style he's an extremely odd choice from Jerry. I hope he can turn it around and actually add something to our team, but right now i shudder when he checks in, just knowing that is first selfish, ill-concieved brick is only moments away.
