Wood scored an outstanding 42 touchdowns on 2,612 yards during his junior year will earning County Player of the Year honors. Though he says he's currently wide open, some schools that figure to be on his "favorites" list include Florida and Texas, as well as Southern Cal. He says he will take all five official visits in the fall, so don't expect any early commitment from Wood.

Simply put, Wood is the best running back in the Class of 2009. His combination of size, speed, and natural ability is rivaled by no one in this class. Wood has terrific breakaway speed and hits the holes his lineman create very quickly. His downfield vision is outstanding and he can make big plays out of nothing. He is very good at breaking tackles and whenever he's in the open field, he's gone. He gets to the outside very quickly and is able to accelerate better than anybody in this class. His patience is terrific; he always waits for his blocks and never rushes anything. He is very agile and can maneuver his body in ridiculous ways when in traffic. In addition to being utilized in the backfield, Wood can also be used as a slot receiver as he has amazing hands. Wood does need to bulk up a bit, but there's no denying the skill level this kid possesses.

I hope he goes to UCLA, they really need him. I am just glad he didnt go to North Carolina, I think recruits are overrating UNC program.
