<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With 15 players allowed on the roster, and only 12 active, there is a good chance the Jazz could send a player to the NBA Developmental League rather than have a player languishing on the bench. Last year, C.J. Miles was with the NBADL's Albuquerque Thunderbirds for 21 games. He got time in only 23 games with the Jazz. This year, he is hoping he doesn't get a ticket out of Salt Lake. "As long as I keep working hard and keep playing hard, hopefully they won't have any reason to send me down," he said. He has averaged 5.9 points and two rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game in the preseason. "The last couple of games, I've shot the ball well," Miles said. "I'm just working on my shots and doing what I can to not have a turnover. I don't want to be a dropoff when I get on the court. I want to be able to give a boost or keep things level." Miles, who originally committed to Texas before entering the draft, admitted adjusting to the NBA was harder than he thought it would be. "It was unexplainable," he said "When I first checked into the game, the first couple times up and down the court I'd be winded. I'd have to catch my breath. The game is much slower to me [now]. I'm stronger, so I don't take as much of a pounding or get tired, and defensively I can see things now before they happen." </div> Source
