Regional scene: Second quarterback commits to Colorado | Rocky Mountain News <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>One of football coach Dan Hawkins' annual goals at the University of Colorado is to never run low on quarterbacks - and his 2009 recruiting class offers proof. A verbal pledge this week from Clark Evans, a 6-foot-5, 225-pounder from Los Alamitos, Calif., gives the program two quarterbacks among the three known commitments for 2009. Quarterback Jordan Wynn (6-2, 178, Oceanside, Calif.) had committed earlier. CU's third known commitment is receiver Jarrod Darden (6-4, 211, Keller, Texas). The Buffaloes are believed to have about 15 scholarships remaining for 2009. The Rivals.com recruiting Web site ranks both CU quarterback recruits in its national top 25 according to their respective styles - Evans as a dual-threat quarterback (No. 24) and Wynn as a pro-style quarterback (No. 21).</div>
