All I can think is "thank God" ... seriously, I'm going to puke if we add one more soft-ass, entitled Spaniard to this team.

If only the Lakers had thought that a couple of years ago.

But ridiculous xenophobia aside, we're in no hurry to bring Claver over unless Batum's shoulder turns out to be career-threatening. He would be behind Batum and almost certainly Webster and Cunningham for a while. Freeland and Koponen fill more urgent needs.

Meh, he said that in a moment of euphoria. He'll be in the NBA in three years.

If he wants to play with and against the best players in the world he'll eventually join the Blazers.

If he doesn't, we don't want him.

I never wanted to fire KP for picking Oden over Durant.

This pick....well, maybe not fired.....but a good kick in the rump seems justified.

Xenophobia? Maybe Iberiaphobia. But seriously I've grown to loathe almost all the Spanish players that are in the NBA, the only one who's worth a damn is Marc Gasol.

Its kind of like how after Dirk came into his own, that half the league spent their time looking for the next Dirk. Hell Toronto drafted Bargiani because they thought he would turn into the next Nowitzki type of player. The NBA is still looking for any good spaniards in this league outside of the Gasol brothers. Most of them have all had the same problems. They are soft. They are soft on defense. They have no game going to the rim. They want to play happy go lucky basketball, when happy go lucky basketball gets your fucking teeth kicked in.

I think it has more to do with Nate McMillan and his ISO-heavy slow paced offense.

Yea and that is why Sergio is on his way out of the league after playing on 2 other teams, one of which requires no defense. That was the excuse back then. The facts are, Sergio wasn't getting it done.

Maybe he thinks the NBA is rigged, and would only want to play for the Lakers or Boston.
