The NFL league office confirmed on Wednesday that Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall will be subject to a fine -- but will not be prohibited from taking the field -- if he violates the league's uniform policy by wearing lime green cleats in support of Mental Health Awareness Week on Thursday night when the Bears host the New York Giants.

Great PR by the NFL on this one.

I guess they want STP stickers on the shoes instead.

I'm not even gonna start on this one...
@Denny: If he did use STP stickers, the NFL would probably accuse him of having additives added to his shoe to enhance its performance, shall they not be happy with their ad rev, which is guaranteed.

My point was the league is probably so greedy, they want to be able to sell whatever logo on his shoes or what shoe he wears.

^ Oh I absolutely understood your point, I was trying to bash the NFL management "principles" even more along with what you were saying.
