I'm not going to give up faith in beating Detroit. But they are a good defensive team and with our offensive set it doesn't look good. We can't count on Marshall, Gibson, Sasha, and Larry Hughes to always hit open shots. Of course, thats what we pay them for but they wont ever do it. Mike Brown is a defensive minded coach, so I don't see us being able to score many on Detroit. Unless LeBron is red hot every game, this might hurt us badly against them. Cleveland's offense is pretty much give James the ball and see what he can do with it while others just sit and watch him. We can't do that in the ECF, hopefully and I pry to God, Mike Brown learns some offense before Monday.
I'm sorry, but there is no way in hell you are beating the Pistons. The nets defense is not near the Pistons, and we shut down your role players and LeBron some times. Just wait . My prediction is Pistons in 5. This series won't be close at all.
We did it before, we can do it again. We may not win this series, but I still wanna give Detroit a run for their money. But seriously here, I just can only hope that the Cavaliers try some better offensive plays before Monday night. This off season we need a guy that hit shots, we need a defensive big more though IMO.
It will be a very, tight, close series but Detroit will prevail just like last year. I wish Hughes would be more of a consistent scoring threat. He has these 3-15 games and it just kills the Cavs.
Sadly, thats true. Hughes has gone 4-23 the past two ballgames. It really sucks, I can only pry that Larry Hughes wakes up and plays like he did from Washington.
The hope the Cavs will be able to hold off the Pistons. Pistons have a tendency to let up and sometimes underestimate their opponents. Ilgauskas needs to use his size down low against the slighty weaker Chris Webber. Big Z to me is the only real threat other than LeBron. Gooden will need to work hard on the boards if the Cavs want a slight chance of winning. Pistons got too many good rebounders in Rasheed, C Web and McDyess off the bench.Hughes will need to be a bit more consistent. Something like 14 or 15 a night will do. Just not 15 a game and 4 the next.I would like to see the Cavs win but I think Pistons in 6.The last thing I want is to witness another Pistons-Spurs final, but thats sadly very possible. I will turn off my TV if thats the case.
We did happen to run off 3 straight against the Pistons last year, and we would have beat the Pistons in 6 games if Flip Murray could learn to hold onto a f*cking rebound. I don't understand how a year makes a difference from them beating us in 7 to now beating us handily? The only thing that has changed is they got older.
A more experienced and versatile center in Chris Webber may play a major role. Prince has gotten better and better each year on both offense and defense. And with Antonio McDyess' new found convidence and consistent play off the bench, that may cause more trouble than the Cavs would want.
I like it when the opposite teams fans even doubt they can beat my team. That always is reassuring But in all honesty, I dont think they can either. Detroit is too deep and experienced. This is a new level for Cleveland and LeBron, just like it was for Chicago and Michael. And just like those days, early in LeBrons career, he will get beat alot by the Pistons, just like Michael did.
