Somewhat lost in this summer?s LeBron James shuffle, the Cleveland Heights native flew in under the radar in a trade with Boston that sent F Jumaine Jones to the Celtics in exchange for Bremer, center Bruno Sundov and a future second-round pick. ?We?re a young, very athletic team that?s going to reach a lot of goals that we set for ourselves,? the 6-2 guard said of his new and improved team. Bremer had a prolific rookie season with the Celts last year, averaging 8.3 ppg, leading all rookies in 3-pt. FG% and being selected to the 2002-03 'got milk?' NBA All-Rookie Second Team. J.R. scaled the dreaded ?rookie wall? last season as well. He cracked Boston?s veteran rotation on January 12 and never looked back. In March, he tallied 25 points against the Clippers and 23 points against the then-defending champion L.A. Lakers. In last year?s playoffs, Bremer dropped a dozen points on Indiana in a deciding Game 6 that sent the Pacers home for the summer.
