I am shocked at the frequent knocks on Cliff and Calbert. I think Cliff and Calbert have been fabulous for the Warriors this season. I don't know if i'm for the trade of Sura for Cliff(not talent wise but in the direction this team is trying to go), but i truely enjoy what Cliff and Calbert have given to this team. I agree that Calbert is sometimes hard to watch as all of us Warriors fans want to see the young guns like Pietrus and Dunleavy or even Brian Cardinal. Even though, i think that Clifford deserves some major props. He's carried this team and has been one of the main players that has kept this team going this whole season. I think he deserves major props. Also he's a superb passer and great defender. And just add his skills with his defense and attitude, and i think he's meant so much to this Warriors team this year. And even though Cheaney isn't the popular guy around town, i like what he brings to this team. He really complements the three young guys, in JRich, Pietrus, and Dunleavy. If Pietrus and the warriors aren't scoring, Cheaney can come in for him and make a quick couple of jumpers. And if Dunleavy is having a tough time guarding someone, Cheaney is able to come in and help in that area. And if Richardson is tired or not clicking, Calbert is there to try to turn things around. I think Cheaney is very underapreciated, however i just wanted to give my props to Cheaney, since he had a pretty good season so far, and he seemed to be getting overlooked. Even though i will agree it was hard at times to see Cheaney in there for a long time and not see Pietrus.

But thanks a million for your excellent services to this team Clifford and Cheaney. I know i apreciate it a lot.

I like Cliff Robinson. Cheaney is a good guy, but I want Pietrus in the game more.

The thing that has impressed me most about Cliffy is his attitude even though he has been on a losing team. His defense has been tremendous when guarding the elite PF in the game like Garnett, Oneil, and Webber tonight. I just wish he was 5 years younger. Chaney has impressed me. Anyone remember the game that was on national tv against Utah. The guy hit almost all of his jumpers, had a few dunks and played a good overall game. I dont know what has gotten into him lately, but he has not been playing that good. I also would like to see Petrius in the game more too so he can develop even though in his last 2 games he has scored 0 points. He could learn something from Cardinal and take it to the hoop and draw a foul instead of shooting 3s.

No way, Calbert has been good. It's just that he has played really under-sized at the small forward position. And if you're going to play under-sized you better be damn quick and smother the slower players with aggressive D. And Pietrus does that well.

I too like Cliff because he makes up for poor shooting with aggressive and smart defense. He's also good for the players and talking to the refs.

Cheaney and Cliffy have been awesome. You can see their professionalism on the court. As a long suffering fan, they have provided the example that I have longed for the past 5 years. After the Webber and Sprewell debacles, I hoped that the Warriors would at least become a competitive team which exhibited unselfish, professional play and that played hard. I recall the Kings model where they were not very good, actually awful on the road, but at least they were a team that was pretty good at home and played hard. This year, the Warriors while suffering at least are playing hard and are not getting blown out. Again, a tribute to both the professionals like Cliffy and Cheaney and Musselman.

I love both of these guys. They are both veteran defenders. Clifford has impressed me so much this season with his defensive efforts. Just look at the job he did yesterday against Webber, 1/22 shooting. Garnett even said he is the best low post defender in the game right now.

We have Uncle Cliffy for another year right? Hopefully he's teaching Troy some new things on defense in practice.

One thing about Troy is that he needs to be aggressive on D because he's really not that athletic. But then again neither is Tim Duncan and he gets all these blocks and scores all these points. I think if Troy Murphy really bulks up and starts practicing his footwork and being the pump fake master, he'll be a good post player as well as perimeter player as he is great using the backboard. Plus he already snags boards pretty well.

I can see Troy getting even bigger this year. I just hope he gets healthy. Can't wait to see an auto 15/15.

Not sure, when I meant big I meant more muscle mass over flab. More upper body strength definately helps. But I've seen him in the breakout season. Damn good jump shooter and eats boards just Damp this season. Just lack of D. OK, I see NBA.com lists him at 245. I'm not sure if he's 260. You added in that 15lbs of muscle mass he said he gained before this season right?

If Troy gets bigger and stronger, it will be a reality as to playing him at center after Dampier leaves.

If Murphy goes center, that mean we'll have to find another offensive rebounder because we want Murphy stepping outside to clear up the lane occasionally.

While this might have gone against the Warriors for the future, doesn't anyone think that it might have been a nice gesture from the Warriors to release Cliff and let him sign with a playoff team? (not now, but maybe a month ago...) After all, Cliff did pretty much everything asked of him and more. Somehow, we have to repay him.

We'd have to pick up a portion of his guaranteed contract even if someone does pick him up. I think that's the rules. I wouldn't do it even if he was a crappy player that we don't care about because he's going to valuable with that expiring contract next year. All you have to do is trade him for someone looking to dump players. And if next year the warriors are really competitive going into the allstar break, you could sign all these really good players or rookies if a team approached you. Or trade him in the offseason before the new season starts to get rookies.

He could be valuable next year during a playoff run. Who knows, maybe he actually likes it in Oaktown.

Cliff has shown tremendous professionalism. He could have sulked and cried about coming here, but he did not. I could have seen them releasing him before March so he could keep his streak alive. But this is a business and that would not have been in the Warriors best interest, this year or in years to come.
