After watching some highlights of last year's warriors I wonder how Cliffy is reacting to the warriors playing so well. He did really well for us last year but boy did he stink this year. Can't blame him too much since he had to play center.

His ride with the Nets has been awful so far. I think he can still produce in this league but his time wore out with the W's. He would just be stealing minutes from Zarko and Biedrins on this team. Best of luck to him though.

Next to go is Calbert. I can't even remember the last time he played. I know his ankle has been bothering him for awhile, but that is not the only reason why he hasn't been playing. Pietrus isn't a rookie anymore and has proven himself. So there is no need of Cheaney. Best of luck to him too.

Cliff couldn't lose quickness and be much of a factor. Hitting 3's had extended his career some, and that faded too

I hope we could actually get him back as a defensive stopper, but with Murphy back and seeing plenty of minutes, we probably need the low post presence and transition D more than anything. I've always appreciated that Cliff started with defense first, was a good passer and was a good veteran leader. He shot a lot of 3's, but he did a lot of good stuff to make up for those flat misses.

Man, I do feel bad for both Robinson and Speedy. They gave 100% for this team, and they are having tough time on their new teams. Frankly, I don't mind having Robinson back, considering how bad our defense against 4 is. Life must be very tough for Speedy. When he originally signed with us, he was promised to get a starting job. Then, Mullin unofficially took over and he brought NVE. When he beat NVE and had the best stretch of his career, we signed Fisher for 6 mils. And, when he beat Fisher again, he got traded to Hornets, where he couldn't even start because of Dickau. Hope they will have brighter future...

I liked how Speedy was just unmatched in terms of quickness. He would just tear a hole right through a zone or beat his man silly off the dribble, creating opportunties for people if he happens to find them. I think durability and the fact Fisher/Nick Van Exel had better all around skill in shooting and passing were a factor. Bear in mind that Fisher does not have a point guard's mentality, couldn't beat his own grandma guarding him on an iso, but he's got terrific all around passing skills and shooting skills when he isn't trying to play beyond his capabilities (which he often tries to do to no avail). Nick Van Exel (had we gotten him 3 years younger) would have been awesome for us and would have started over Speedy any time. I mean former allstar who can really provide a lot of options in offense would be somebody to set the tone.
