    I like scorching hot weather as long as I’m by water. So I didn’t mind it personally.

    But the ecosystems that die, the crop failures not so fun.

    People need to keep in mind the records we have at these various locations go back less than 100 years in many cases and yet it's called "all time high".

    Harry Reid airport was constructed in 1942, and it hit 117 that year. Asphalt also stores heat, so the expansion of cities themselves can have an affect on the temperature.
