<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Elton Brand, who checked in this season 18 pounds lighter than last year after a rigorous off-season workout regiment, led the Clippers big men in sprints and also ran the floor well during 3-on-2 work. Brand had his first injury-free summer in years and took advantage of that by working every day with the Clippers training staff.
Following sprints, the team was awarded a much deserved water break although veterans Sam Cassell and Cuttino Mobley declined the offer and remained on the baseline. The veteran guards were also very vocal throughout the opening practice.
Chris Wilcox threw down several dunks during the Clippers 3-on-2 work and was active on the glass</div>

Livingston did extensive rehab work with the Clippers training staff and should return to contract drills soon. </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">?I was a little disappointed in the conditioning of some of the guys trying to make the team,? said Dunleavy. ?I told them that they had to pick it up. Elton and Kaman ran the floor great and Wilcox, Rebraca and McCarty were pretty good too. We need to do more conditioning though.?

While being held out of contact for precautionary reasons, Livingston is working hard with the Clippers training staff and also on his jump shot.

?He?s been shooting the ball great and it?s very obvious that he is a much better shooter,? Dunleavy said.</div>
Dunleavy loves Korolev, he said a lot of good things about him, and truly loves him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">?What I see right now with Korolev, is that he is probably more suitable to the two-spot or point-forward,? said Dunleavy. ?Defensively, he?s very knowledgeable about where he?s supposed to be on the floor. He plays well on the perimeter, but needs work on defending in the post. [However] I?m really glad we brought him (over from Russia).? </div>
Dunleavy also said Wilcox can be big for the team if he can grab a board every 3.5 minutes, and defend his position, he will get a lot of oppurtunity.

    From Day 3

    - Cassell and Mobley are vocal leaders which is helping out a lot
    - Brand is more vocal than in previous years
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">“Elton and I met for dinner early this summer and he had already been working out. He asked what he could do to make the team better and one thing we talked about was from a leadership standpoint and being more vocal,” said Dunleavy. “He said that’s why he was determined to work so hard during the summer because he said, ‘I can’t be the guy until I’m the guy who isn’t making mistakes.’ He brought up three or four games where he felt he made mistakes that I had forgotten about a long time ago. He said he’s trying to get to the point where he doesn’t make mistakes and therefore has the right to be more vocal. I think it’s a great attitude and statement by him.” </div>
    - Their's a Duke bond, and Livingston is included because he was supposed to go there
