The Clips have finally made some strides in the right direction. At the 5 they have Drobjnak to provide some outside shooting. They also have 1st round choice Kaman to provide backup and Drobjnaks arrival will give him a little time to develop somethings most 7 foot rookies need. Polynice will provide another big body, 6 fouls and a few boards in required to guard guys like Shaquille. At the 4 they have Brand who is a star and the heart and soul of this franchise (who is now locked in for years), he is backed up by two big bodies full of potential Ely and Wilcox one of whom I would think may be shipped for a gurad with some experience. At the 3 they have Magette(who is also locked in for years) and Rice who if healthy can provide instant offence of the bench and also allow them to go to a big backcourt with QR & CM. At the 2 they have QR who with a guaranteed start can hopefully go injury free and blossom into the player that he can be. And finally the 1 they have Jaric a fundamentally sound player you could blossom into a top setup man. Dooling will be asked to be the primary backup and may see more minutes if Jaric takes his time to settle with the offense. Basically I see great potential coming finally with guys locked in and an influence like Brand to move everyone forward if management can continue in this vain they could see 35 wins this years and 45 or so the next.
I will move this to the clippers forum And yes I agree..Now Brand and Maggette aren't playing for contracts they should be even better...Drobjnak will add shooting touch as will Rice....Been a while but the Clips seem to be heading in the right direction yes...Good young talent along with vets=good coach Clippers should have a decent season this year... I hope Kaman plans out well...As I know because of Kandi moving on..they needed a center to replace him.
