Great win tonight. This was a big game considering the Timberwolves have an opportunity to gain a game or to lose a game behind Seattle in the Northwest Division. They got it done thanks to an impressive second half. Timberwolves started the third quarter with a bang and they never looked back. Wally started the third red-hot as he made five shots from downtown to give the Wolves a big lead to start the third. What a performance by Wally. He was very active on both sides of the ball and I love how he went to attack the rim out there. Wally has had a good week. As for KG, he was fantastic as he had a double-double. Plus he played a big role in that third quarter spurt. The bench was fantastic especially in the fourth quarter. Mad Dog was good. Dead Eye Fred was on fire. Eddie Griffin was great as always. Troy played okay. I really like the fact that the Wolves did not let up in the second half. That should make Heancy happy. While the Timberwolves was great tonight, the Clippers looked so inept in the second half. They did not play defense. They did not execute on offense. They did not do a good job passing the ball at all in the second half. Timberwolves announcers Tom Hanneman and Jim Petersen was right when they ripped Corey Maggette for being selfish by shooting the ball rather than passing the ball. Bad job there by Corey. I think the Clippers are on the right track, but they need to learn how to win on the road. They are a different team on the road in which they are passive and they don't make things happen like they do at home. Good job by the Wolves. Big week coming up next week with the Cavs and Spurs on the road so the Wolves should enjoy their three-day rest.
Just to add that Spree did not play much because he got injured minutes after the first quarter started. He apparently fell down as he was trying to get a loose ball. He might be out for awhile. Tough break for him. It has been a rough start for him with his stupidity and the fact he has not been productive.
How was Maggette's shot selection, I'm going to downlaod the game, but was it a massive jumpshto day [he got the line 9 times but that shooting was attrocious], or was it a lot of misses on drives. I really want to know if he was doing the retarded early shot clock jack, common Maggette you know team ball is what's won games this season.
