Notes*:
Lac- Every other week it appears the Clippers are about to make a move toward the playoffs. Actually, the rest of the West is coming back to them.

Tor- The Raptors are a portrait of the future NBA -- lots of versatility and scoring without much power and size. It limits them in the playoffs, but only occasionally now.

Key Players:
[IMG][IMG]

[*]Elton Brand should dominate Donyell Marshall...he is averaging 19.1 points and 12.2 boards a game.
[*]Vince Carter is better than Glen Rice, he needs to take advantage of this matchup, VC is averaging 22.0 points a game, 4.7 assists, and 4 boards.
===============================
Keys to The Game
Lac:

[*]Must Double VC when Rice is guarding him
[*]Keep the Raptors from Second Chance points
[*]Feed Elton Brand, and Q Rich needs to play a bigger role.
Tor:

[*]Feed VC while Rice is guarding him
[*]Keep Brand off the glass
[*]Let Jalen take advantage of his height on Jaric
Prediction:
The Clippers fall short in this one by 4

Great preview, I think it's kind of laughable that someone so lazy and so useless is being put on Carter, let alone him being a starter. His shot's gone, and that's all he had. I especially like the fact that Marshall will be on Brand if man to man is used, another chance to prove his worth as he'll be facing one of the best. Tough to say, it's pretty even, I think Clippers will dominate the boards though so I say Clippers by around 3ish.

Clipps by 5

They won't screw up a game that the Raps will throw at them like they did with Cleveland.

Raptors by 7.

I don't think they'll play two really bad games in a row at home, and the Clips don't have a suitable defensive match-up for Carter. I also don't think Brand will dominate Marshall either, who has averaged a double double since being traded.

With Maggette out I will go with the Raptors by 6

Brand won't be stopped inside but the trio of Carter,Rose and Marshall should be enough.

I take Raptors by 2. I just don't think they can beat a team like the Raptors without Maggette.

Richardson isnt playing, i dont know what happened but the Clippers are up 55-45 w/2 left in the 3rd...Chris Wilcox is playing huge, he has 17 points on 8-10 shooting, Brand has 15 points on 6-10 shooting, VC has 10 and Jalen has 11

Clippers win 78-68
Chris Wilcox was huge tonight with 17, Brand ended with 19...

With his team shorthanded, Elton Brand filled the void with another big game as the Los Angeles Clippers posted a 78-68 triumph over the Toronto Raptors.

With Corey Maggette serving the second game of his two-game suspension and Quentin Richardson sidelined with a sprained right wrist, Brand scored 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and keyed a decisive burst to open the second half.

Wait, so let me get this straight, no Richardson, no Maggette, and the Clippers win? That is scary, watch out for this team.
