Skinner worked out for the Suns on Thursday with a group that included some Suns players and free agents such as Maurice Taylor, Frahm and Marshall.

"This is the top of my list," he said. "It's a championship ballclub."

A day after reports had him leaning toward signing with the Boston Celtics, Batista was back in the Suns' mix Thursday.

His agent, Marc Cornstein, said Batista should have a decision by today. -- Arizona Republic
[*]With only 12 players presently under contract, the Suns will invite journeyman shooting guard Richie Frahm and former Indiana Pacer Rawle Marshall to training camp along with the winner of the big-man derby.

The last of the Suns regulars will be trickling into town over the next week. Raja Bell is expected this weekend. Boris Diaw and Shawn Marion are expected to arrive early next week. -- East Valley Tribune
