He's been a force for over 10 yrs and gave a lot to this team and city.

I think indeed he's done after this season. Good thing we drafted 2 potential replacements in Yanda and Gaither. We're prepared for it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>We've all kind of kept that at arm's length," Billick said. "Jonathan will decide what he wants to do. Certainly, his Pro Bowl selection [Ogden's 11th in his 12-year career] is an indicator to everybody that he can continue to play probably for as long as he wants to. I don't know that Jonathan's made a definitive decision. I don't know that he's shared that with anybody. So we'll give him the proper respect that he's due to kind of decide what he wants to do going forward."
Ogden, the overall fourth choice and the franchise's first pick in the 1996 draft, has been the cornerstone of the team's offense and has been regarded as the game's prototypical left tackle.

But a hyperextended big toe on his left foot has robbed Ogden of some lower-body power and some games. Expected to play Sunday, Ogden will have played in just 11 games this season. His previous career low of 12 came in 2004.

Ogden told The Sun this month that he was contemplating retirement at season's end. Billick said the organization would wait for Ogden to make a decision in the offseason.

"There's no question that he can continue to play. No one would argue that, I would think," Billick said. "It's a matter of - and everybody enjoys playing - do I want to do these things in the upcoming offseason that I know that I have to do to continue to play at a high level? That's usually what the question always comes down to for an athlete at this point in his career going forward. And that's not a question that he'll have an answer for two days, three days, three weeks, a month after the season, I wouldn't think</div>

Granted, Baltimore has Yanda & Gaither. Would they go after Long or Sam Baker?

I neglected to mention in the thread about Chris Long that Baltimore IMO should look at WR (DeSean Jackson) or QB (Brohm/Ryan)

I think they'd give pause to it if Long slips. But I don't think we would pull the trigger on him that high or early. We've also invested a lot into the OL last few yrs. OT Adam Terry few yrs ago, aforementioned Marcal Yanda (3rd rder), and Jared Gaither, who was a supplemental pick that cost us a 4th rder in '08. Not to mention, drafting OG Ben Grubbs in the first rd last yr.

Yeah, there's a good chance we could look at the QBs, but I'm not sure if we draft one, despite many people thinking so. We tried to move up to take Quinn when he slipped, don't know if they'd wanna take one high. This yr anyway. Billick and FO have hinted they think w/o the boat load of injuries, we're good enough with a few upgrades. Which could be true. Also, might want to give Smith more of a chance as well. But I wouldn't want us to take one that high. I don't like these QBs this yr that much.

Jackson is a player I'd be interested in if we traded down. But I'm not too sure if he could make that much of a difference offensively for us. At least the way this team needs it.

CB is another position we need, I think they'd give a hard look at if Malcolm Jenkins is around.
