The article I read says the latest news, today, is the Bulls refuse to part with Noah and Butler for LMA. I don't see the reasoning for this trade proposal. Portland trades a gaping hole at C for one at PF. We open gaping holes at SG and C. Portland gets Butler to play behind Matthews at SG and Batum at SF - not like they really need Butler. The Bulls end up with an over supply at PF. If we had kept Omer, we'd at least have a C replacement. LMA is a 2-way player, an all-star. Considered by many to be the best PF in the game today. Too bad they won't take Deng or Boozer instead of Noah. If we traded Deng, it'd make little sense to trade our only viable SF as well.
Whoa there, big fella. Considered by many to be the best PF in the game today? Well, he's not considered as that by many of the people who select the All-NBA Teams 'cause the best he's ever done is third team (2010-11). He doesn't really need the overhyping. He's a fine player. FWIW, I agree that including Noah in the deal is a non-starter.
so if I'm reading this right, POR would take Noah and Butler for LMA? Like, it was their idea? That seems odd, for a number of reasons (many that you mentioned).
