<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW YORK, Jan. 12 -- Having spent seven seasons as coach of the Cavaliers, Coach Lenny Wilkens knows a thing or two about Cleveland.

"Cleveland is a great sports town," Wilkens said. "LeBron James already a tremendous young player with tremendous potential. Now, fans are excited. They see the potential."

What the fans must exercise now is patience. When the Cavaliers meet the Lakers on Monday (10:30 ET, TNT), it will be the Cavaliers' third road game on a six-game trip, four of which are on the West Coast. Wilkens' advice for the Cavaliers could be heeded by fans as well.

"For a young team on a long road trip, it's important not to get down on yourselves," Wilkens said. "You have to continue to play hard and you have to learn with every series and ever game you play."

Wilkens is the winningest coach in NBA history with 1,268 wins and one NBA title. Wilkens was also named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history and one of the 10 Greatest Coaches. He is the only person to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player and a coach. </div>
