<td><font face="verdana" size="1">Green played only two games his junior year due to an ankle injury. His sophomore year, he threw for 1,429 yards and 19 touchdowns.

If you're looking for an athlete in this years class that rivals Terrelle Pryor, Green is your man. Like Pryor, Green is as explosive as they come on the ground. He is literally a home run threat whenever he touches the ball. However, Green is nowhere near Pryor in terms of quarterback capabilities. His throws are inconsistent and leave quite a bit to be desired. His throwing motion is a little awkward, but he does have a quick delivery. His footwork is decent but needs improvement. Is probably better suited at another skill position in college, most likely as a wide out. He's too much of a playmaker to keep him from playing offense. With some good coaching and refined mechanics, though, he could be a deadly college quarterback.</font></td>

QB top priority in 2009: Class could be successful if OSU adds depth | NewsOK.com

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Quarterback is the top priority. Zac Robinson has two years remaining. Alex Cate (sophomore) and Brandon Weeden (freshman) provide good depth at a position OSU hasn't always had depth.

After Kody Spano ended up signing with Nebraska in January, it's essential the Cowboys sign a quarterback in the 2009 class.

Other than long shot candidate Tate Forcier, a San Diego quarterback who holds offers from just about everyone, dual-threat quarterback Clayton Moore, from Louisville, Miss., is believed to be the only quarterback OSU has offered so far. But Gundy and co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer won't put all their eggs in one basket.

Other quarterbacks believed to be on OSU's list include: Cody Green (Dayton, Texas), Tyler Tettleton (Norman North), Jacob Karam (Friendswood, Texas) and Byrce Petty (Midlothian, Texas).</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Is it the Huskers or the Aggies for Green?

That’s the million dollar question, and as I’ve been saying for several weeks now, somebody is going to be disappointed because the Nebraska folks feel he’s 100% in the bag, and the A&M people feel all the factors favor staying close to home. But as I said, after Cody Green's visit to Nebraska there were persistent rumors that something happened when he returned home and talked to the A&M coaches. This was right after the Aggies received those seven commitments in a week’s time and the numbers were getting short. Apparently, the staff asked for his commitment and pushed the issue a little feeling they could get him secured. It didn’t work, and ever since sources outside of A&M felt that Nebraska was a serious player to the point that NU was the odds-on choice. In fact, our Dayton sources said they thought he was leaning to Nebraska but he was still conflicted with his choice.

The big issue in favor of Texas A&M is location and his close relationship with his mom and sister. I've talked to his mom several times and they are close, and I got the feeling that while she wants Cody to do what's best for him, that having him close to home would be a big plus for her. Also, he’s a big fisherman and he wets a line EVERY chance he gets, so you have to wonder how that fits in with those long, cold winter days in Lincoln.

So on paper, it looks like Texas A&M would have the advantage, but this isn’t being played out on paper. It’s being played out by an emotional and impressionable 17 year-old who is being pushed and pulled in so many directions. Ultimately, I don’t don’t know what he’ll do, but if you had asked his coaches and people around him where he said he wanted to go last week, it was Nebraska. I do agree with many of the opinions on the Internet that the longer this plays out, the better it is for the Aggies.</div>

Green Alert: Huskers Land a QB | BigRedNetwork.com

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Five-star rated quarterback prospect Cody Green verbally committed to the University of Nebraska today. Green, a 6’4’’ 220 lb prospect out of Dayton Texas chose the Huskers over Texas A&M and a slew of other skills. While not binding, this verbal commitment should give a shot of momentum to NU’s recruiting class for 2009. And, based solely on past experiences, fans shouldn’t rule out the Huskers possibly adding another signal caller.</div>
