Panther's Safety Colin Branch who started 15 games last year to ACL injury. He is gonna have knee surgery sometime soon. This will force Carolina to move Thomas Davis back to safety sometime soon unless they see greatness out of Bashir or Marlon McCree who both have started for other teams. Colin Branch was #1 on the depth chart, and Davis #2, but Davis moved to linebacker because Brandon Short sustained a injury, but wont be out for season opener. So i see the Panthers moving Thomas Davis back to SS
