As expected, senior Tyler Hansen was named Colorado's 2011 starting quarterback on Tuesday. Hansen was the starter for most of 2009 and 2010 until he ruptured his spleen in the seventh game last fall, though his competition with Cody Hawkins, former coach Dan Hawkins' son, often made headlines. "Tyler did a great job all spring," coach Jon Embree said in a statement. "He has command of everything you need to have at quarterback and has also developed into a team leader.
