Did not make the trip with HIS team. Have heard substance abuse (he was formerly in treatment). The recent information about substance abuse is not confirmed...just what I am hearing. Potentially relapse from previous treatment. Colt - get it together, man. You're a beast. You have a bright future in the NFL. Don't go down this path.
Sad... very sad. If he's already having trouble now, I am seriously worried about him as a professional athlete.
I've read many relays of him having battled substance abuse but never been clear on what it was that he was abusing. Alcohol? Coke? What? life over sport, I hope he's able to right himself STOMP
before. My vague recollection is that it's alcohol and that it runs in his family. If he really is suspended, I'd expect that the details will emerge rival's board rumorama is that he served a one game suspension for undisclosed reasons which sounds more like a behavior issue rather then substance abuse STOMP
*Again, unconfirmed, but from what I have read...more serious than just alcohol. Kiko was a total success story. But, what Kiko had in attitude and respect for his coach and team, I hear Colt totally lacks.
I wondered if he got into a tif with the coach and got suspended. What a crapper of a season he is having. I thought he'd be one of our best weapons.
Are you an expert on student/athlete behavior? I'm not. However, there is a continued pattern that is distracting to the team. Colt was given the responsibility of improving his behavior and limiting distractions. Not sure he is succeeding in this area. Other fans have voiced concern over the pattern and behavior, which most certainly CAN, reflect an issue related to and stemming from substance abuse. There's more to share on the issue but in fairness to a young man...and given they aren't 100% substantiated, at this time, we shouldn't post openly. No need to revisit his past and previous rehab that removed him from significant practice time (which I am sure we are all aware of), at this time....only time will tell. I mention Kiko because he was a young man who was self-destructing with substance abuse. He turned it around and has become an inspirational success story. I hope Colt follows in Kiko's footsteps.
I'm so proud of Kiko. Amid all the Cliff Harris crap, and the whole thing with Massoli, here was a kid who turned it around off the field and is now having a stellar rookie season in the NFL. I haven't purchased an NFL jersey in a long time, but I might seriously consider picking up one of his.
Rob Moseley @DuckFootball Lyerla withdraws from UO "on good terms": Oregon's junior starter told Helfrich of his decision late Sunday http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=209277864 … #GoDucks
Well that is somewhat surprising. Some people pointed out this might happen. He had potential to be a high draft pick but now he has to get his head straight and prove a lot more to teams next year if he wants a shot at being drafted. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
the emoticom with the shrugging shoulders is coded "dunno" as in I don't know/I'm making a guess. amazing douchbaggery STOMP
