Yao's comin into his own. Tmac is coming back with a chip on his shoulder. We signed Bonzi, and also added olympic gold medalist Spanoulis. All while nagging Battier, and a very cheap Kurk Snyder. Can't forget Lucas who we might definaltey need for his speed. For the first time in a LONG time, we have enuff depth to compete with the bigdogs. If Yao & Tmac get it together, I truly believe we have the talent to beat ANYBODY. The only difference between us and San Antonio, Dallas, Miami etc, is the coaching. I don't know if JVG can bring us to the promise land. But maybe I'm wrong. But this could be the year

I'm pretty sure teams are really competing for a ring every year they have a good team, so this isn't a revalation, isn't that the whole point every year?

While I'm definitely heading into this season on an optimistic note, let's not get over our heads here. Last year this forum was rife with talks of 60 wins and such, and realistically, we won't have reached that total, injuries or not.

This year, we can definitely repeat our 04-05 success, but anything past the second round should be celebrated as a step forward in the right step and an overachievement, and certainly should not be taken as a given.

Yea this season I agree with you. Just wait and see what happens. We finally have some trade assets that we can work with if anything does happen, or if someone doesn't pan out.

Also, I have a feeling we will see a few trades that I wont like them. Especially if one involves head.

Im predicting 55-58 wins, but not more than 60 unless we mesh together really well.

    Rock4life...Vspan was a silver medalist

Rockets need to prove they can play together and not lose to teams that we are suppose to beat. Right now we are in the hunt for playoffs...NOT a ring.

We are not a contender until we prove we are one.

But not every team is in the elite, so what are you saying?

Spanoulis... silver medalist ... gold medalist... doesn't matter.
His team was placed ahead of USA. And he scored 20 something points on USA hitting 5 three pointers.
