Has anyone actually played with the 'old' new composite ball? What was it like? Did it really hurt your fingers like Steve Nash said it felt like papercuts? The ball looks pretty dry on TV.
to me it feels the same as the other ball, but then it has more grip and is easier to handle. But then it doesn't bounce well
Yeah I wanted to buy one, I actually went out to look for one, they were like $100 everywhere I went, I guess the fiber is really expensive in which it is made of.

For anyone interested, it is now on sale at Sports Authority. I went there today, and went to the basketball section and there it was. I got to really feel it out, and got a good grip for it compared to just tapping it like at the Nets-Celtics game. Basically, as I said before, it is a bit spungy, a bit sticky, and a tad bit weird feeling at first. I personally wouldn't mind playing with it, but I could see how it would take weird bounces and possibly cut fingertips during games like we have seen with NBA players.I hope to buy one off Ebay or something, as at SA it is $99.99.
Yep, I went there yesterday, and one of them was out of the box..so I dribbled it around for a min or two..It wasn't that bad imo, I kinda liked it though..
