<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Now that Dwayne Jones has decided to forgo his senior season at Saint Joseph's, he's all about business - NBA business. "I don't really feel any pressure on me anymore, like I did when I had to make the decision. Now that I made it, I can just focus on my workouts and look forward to getting drafted," Jones said yesterday after his workout for the 76ers at their practice facility at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. According to many scouts, Jones, who averaged 10.1 points and 11.6 rebounds a game for the Hawks, is likely to be drafted in the early to middle second round in Tuesday's draft. His 6-11 frame helped him block 232 shots in his career, and he led the Atlantic 10 Conference in blocks in each of his three seasons at St. Joe's. That is what impresses Sixers senior vice president and assistant general manager Tony DiLeo most about Jones. "I don't think a workout like this really serves him as well as it would some of the other players," DiLeo said. "He's the type of player who does the dirty work on the floor by playing defense and blocking shots, so his strengths don't really show up out here as much as some of the other players in the workouts. But we've seen him before, and we already know what he can do."</div> Source
Jones or Carroll are two guys who I hope the 76ers take a look at with the 45th pick. Both are local products, and both have some potential if they bulk up. Jones would be someone I would take for need, and for the long run. If Im looking for offense though,a nd a quick fix I would take a look at Pat Carroll. Those are just my two picks that I hope get some consideration.
