Congrats On The Title Wade!!! But Kobe Is STILL the Best

Dwayne Wade is a superstar player, unselfish, humble and the ultimate team player. He's articulate, a role model, and very clean cut like somebody name MJ used to be. Image wise, he might be the next Jordan. That's fair. He's the most likeable guy in the NBA. But let's get one thing clear, Kobe Bryant is the BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE (along with the most hated). I'm not trying to put a damper on the Heat's title, after all I'm one of the few that told ya'll (on justbball) that they would win it in the offseason. But Kobe is better, simple as that. You know it, I know it, we ALL know it. Put Wade on the Lakers right now, they wouldn't even be in the playoffs. But Wade is a great player, and definatley deserves every accomplishment he deserves. However, let's not get too crazy

Stops saying kobe is better tha wade Kobe have a better three point shot something like the great Eddie Casiano in his prime in Puerto Rico, but please Kobe is not even close in iq basketball coeffcient as wade is. Right now Wade is better because he was the one who makes his team better, he got Shaq yes, but kobe got Shaq too and can not beat detroit, therefore if you are going to use the logic wade is better right now, but you need to wait until wade and kobe face each other on a series to tell who is better right now I just see a humble guy in Wade that can lead his team to a very bright future, in kobe I see a great basketball player one of the best, but the thing is he never lead his team to a championship so he is like scottie pippen, when jordan got out of the team the bulls win, no, so Wade did something Kobe never made and is lead his team to a championship, kobe never did it as the role or principal player period, so right now is wade other things are just speculations.

I hope these comparisons stop eventually. Nobody needs them, and they are so not needed. Do you think Wade cared when he got that Championship and held up the trophy "Boy I wish now people think I'm better than Kobe"? Wade is not near Kobe being the fact that he is a unselfish, humble, team player like you said. Kobe is an uncaring, cocky, punk who will do what ever it takes to throw up 35 shots so he can get 50.

The TEAM with the ring is the better team for that year, whoever wins the championship next year is the better team. Comparing players is pointless and juvenile.

You know, in a way I agree with you. But the "who's better" question in sports, even team sports, has been around forever.

And keeping an opinion to your self goes against the whole spirit of sports talk. That's not going to happen, nor should it.

Very easy , kobe is not better than Wade right now, he is a great offensive player but is not better than wade, Wade got the mental toughness, and was the leader of his team, kobe never won a championship as a leader, so sorry, wade over kobe right now but we need to wait until they face each other in a playoff series, so as i said kobe a great potential, but wade is right now winning the competition as the best baketball player of the new era.

Kobe is the best player in the league, period. Wade has a great supporting cast, and needed every bit of it in the finals. Wade lead a very good team of role players to a ring, it was a great acomplishment. But nobody can match Kobe Bryant headz up.

That's the best argument Kobe haters have. Kobe isn't likeable and friendly like Wade, his image is tarnished for a number of reasons. But put aside image (if you actually can), and look at it from a pure basketball perspective. NOBODY can do what Kobe did. He averaged 35pts in the regular season. He carried a team full of scrubs (outside of Odom), and took them to the 2nd round in the playoffs. He changed his whole game around and stretched a clearly better team in Phoenix to 7 games. The Lakers weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs.

 

You know what I noticed? Any time a player does good and starts to make a name for himself, these Laker fans rush in here and make all these threads saying Kobe is better. Does it really matter that much to you? Let Kobe prove it to us on the court. First it was McGrady, then LeBron, and now Wade. Just cool it with the comparison threads and let the Heat fans enjoy this like we let you guys enjoy your three titles a few seasons ago.

First off, I rooted for the Heat this playoffs. The reason i made this thread was because ppl are gettin carried away with callin Wade the best player in the league. It's a slap in the face to Kobe who is easily the best shooting guard EVER outside of MJ. We've seen Kobe make every superstar who's guarded him look bad. Wade is the truth, but he has ways to go. I'm just bringing ppl back down to earth before it gets carried away. You should thank me

The Pistons and the Mavs were just as heavily favored over the Heat as the Suns were over the Lakers.
