I don't blame Neil at all. He was dealing with a GM that hated his owner and a player that wanted super friends. But by pissing off Kevin Pritchard all those years ago, you might have cost us Paul George AND Carmelo Anthony. There are confirmed rumors that we offered arguably the best deal for George, and there's no chance in hell Anthony puts the Thunder on his list without George on that team. I think there's a very realistic scenario where we could have had traded the picks and Vonleh for George and then Harkless and filler for Anthony. Dame CJ George Melo Nurk Fuck you KP
Not sure if KPee really got the last laugh. Yeah, he totally fucked over PA in the PG13 trade, but rumor is he's already on the hot seat in IND for letting his personal feelings interfere with getting the best return for Paul George. If he gets fired, he fucked himself, too. BNM
Did the domino fall because of the force of the finger or the wind? At what force did the domino fall? More factors at play.
My logic is this: We have seen multiple reports that the Blazers made the best offer for George, and that KP turned it down because he didn't want to deal with Portland. Indy accepted an inferior offer from OKC for George. Do you think Melo would have wanted to go to OKC if they didn't have George? Would he have made Melo's expanded list? I doubt it. So maybe we don't end up with Melo, but I don't think it's too much of a stretch to tie this back to Pritchard's decision to spurn the Blazers, and he would not have made that decision if not for his falling out with Paul Allen.
The melo decision/the KP decision. Always more factors. Maybe its dispositional - KP truly is stupid and spiteful. That's on him. Business is business and if he's that moronic, that's on him.
As we found out here, KP was a very bad gm and it's very shortly going to cost him his job in Indy too. On top of bringing Nate back I'm surprised he didn't bring in Steve Blake over there.
That's a lot of talented players for Westbrook to not pass the ball to. Not phased. Similar to Dwight picking Houston, Melo would have had more success here.
