In N Out Burger is waaaaay underrated. Should be a 10, if not higher.

And the french fries, animal style? Fantastic.

In N Out burger should go to 11. Easily the best burger out there. I couldn't agree more with the top 4, and in that order. Whataburger, here in Texas, is also ridiculously good.

You lie Minstrel.... almost everyone is on their jock, but I see the truth. It's a tiny little burger that wouldn't cut it if it was coming off your own grill, but because it's fast food it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. The lines are ridiculous, whether you're in the drivethru or the diner, and the food doesn't live up to the extreme hype. It's good but it's not THAT good.

Yes, it's fast food. What are you comparing it too, restaurant or backyard grilled burgers? Why would that be the standard? Those are pretty uniformly better than fast food. For fast food, In N Out is fantastic. As far as fast food options for cheeseburgers go, I've yet to have anything better.

The food preparation is fast. ;) The long lines of people aren't. I guess being so good comes with a cost.

Not bad for Burgerville to rank so high, considering they have a grand total of 39 restaurants.

Carl's Jr. was pretty good, but we don't have it here anymore. Aside from that, the only burger places on that list that is down here is the larger chains like Jack in the Box and Burger King.

In-n-Out cannot be overrated. It's not possible. They are all that and a bag of fries. A buddy and me once wrote the CEO of the company, begging him to drive their catering truck up and park in Pioneer Courthouse Square and see how long it would take for that truck to sell out. I figured about 20 minutes. Redding is the closest IN-n-Out, and Im not ashamed to say that I've made road trips for just that reason.

I thought White Castle was a big deal on the East Coast. Not so much around Mass?

I have never seen one. They sell the burgers frozen at the supermarket, though.
