Very fucking sad and we would all do well to remember each of those bags was a life. A life just as valuable and as meaningful as yours, mine, or any of us on here. There are a lot more bags than that. More bags everyday because of this virus.

I can't imagine having to die alone like that, asphyxiating to death as the virus ravages you. The fear they must have felt. My God. And there are people on here who would trivialize those deaths.

It is brutally awful, but i am hoping they were treated with medical intervention at the end so they didn’t feel the pain you suggest. Most people who are actively dying are given some form of comfort care - and I sure hope all these older folks got that in the end. It’s very sad.

I can imagine that UV, heat, and humidity will shorten the life of the virus. But how many people are getting Covid from a parking meter or the button for a cross-walk?

Grocery stores will be the same in the summer as they are now. Interior surfaces where the virus lives aren't exposed to UV. People will be spending more time outside so that's good. But I'm not sure how big a drop in the infection rate will happen. Some for sure, but like all things with this virus, it might not cooperate like we hoped

I mean, remember last week when trump and his supporters were getting primed up to crow about "only" 60,000 deaths because of the UW modeling? Well, there are now over 50,000 dead, with an average of 2333 over the last 4 days, and 2461 over the last 3 days. At this rate we'll hit 60,000 sometime Monday; and that's probably a few thousand below the real number

by the way that modeling is 'back' up to 67,000 dead by Aug 4 so it's saying only 17,000 more will die over the next 3.3 months. Does that seem likely?
